Fellowship isn’t about where you come from—it’s about what you build together.”

Project Uni Three was a dynamic and much-anticipated fellowship initiative that brought together the Rotaract Clubs of the University of Sri Jayewardenepura, University of Peradeniya, and University of Ruhuna. Rooted in the core values of unity, friendship, and collaboration, the project unfolded in three vibrant phases, each hosted by one of the participating universities. With each phase, the bond between the clubs grew stronger, leaving behind unforgettable memories and lasting friendships.

Phase One – University of Sri Jayewardenepura

The first phase was proudly hosted by the Rotaract Club of the University of Sri Jayewardenepura. The day began with a warm welcome for the visiting members from the University of Ruhuna and University of Peradeniya. During the introductory session, both the visitors and organizing committee had the opportunity to introduce themselves, setting a friendly tone for the day.

An inspiring welcome speech by the host club president, Rtr. Akila Weerasuriya highlighted the importance of collaboration and the spirit of Rotaract. To encourage interaction, participants were divided into mixed groups representing all three universities. A series of fun-filled games and activities followed, promoting teamwork and friendship.

After a delicious lunch, the energy was kept high with a thrilling treasure hunt that tested both minds and spirits. The day concluded with heartfelt feedback from visiting Rotaractors, who praised the hospitality and the meaningful connections made. It was a perfect start to the Uni Three journey.

Phase Two – University of Ruhuna

The second phase of Uni Three 2.0 took the fellowship south to the picturesque University of Ruhuna. Continuing the momentum from the first phase, this event was all about rekindling the friendships and connections built in Jayewardenepura.

A group photo captured the joy and unity of the moment, followed by a fun-filled treasure hunt that once again brought out the competitive yet collaborative spirit of the participants. After the games, everyone shared a delightful lunch, before wrapping up another successful day of fellowship. Though the visit was brief, the impact was lasting.

Phase Three – University of Peradeniya

The final and most vibrant phase of Uni Three 2.0, was hosted at the stunning site of the University of Peradeniya. On May 11th, 2025, Rotaractors from the three universities reunited once again, radiating enthusiasm and unity.

The day kicked off with a warm welcome and an engaging full-campus tour led by the students of Peradeniya. The visitors were treated to scenic views, historic landmarks, and a deep dive into the cultural essence of the university. Following the tour, the day continued with entertaining games that brought laughter and friendly competition, all tied together with a hearty lunch.

This final gathering was a true celebration of fellowship. The Rotaract spirit was alive and vibrant, and the camaraderie shared throughout the day left everyone feeling more connected than ever.

From start to finish, the Uni Three 2.0 was a resounding success. Each phase highlighted the true essence of Rotaract—bringing people together to build bridges of friendship and collaboration. The bonds formed during these events will continue to thrive as these three clubs carry forward the spirit of Uni Three.

Throughout its three vibrant phases, Uni Three 2.0 also contributed meaningfully to the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). By fostering cross-campus collaboration and promoting cultural understanding, the project aligned with SDG 17: Partnerships for the Goals. The emphasis on inclusive participation and mutual respect also reflected the spirit of SDG 10: Reduced Inequalities. Moreover, the initiative encouraged youth engagement, leadership, and capacity-building, resonating strongly with SDG 4: Quality Education and SDG 16: Peace, Justice and Strong Institutions. Through fellowship and shared experiences, Uni Three 2.0 not only built friendships—but also helped pave the way for a more united and sustainable future.

As we reflect on this incredible journey, we are reminded that through shared experiences and collective joy, unity isn’t just a goal—it’s a reality we can create together. Here’s to continued fellowship, future collaborations, and the lasting legacy of Uni Three!
