“Personal development is the belief that you are worth the effort, time, and energy needed to develop yourself.” – Denis Waitley –
“CrackerJacks 2.0 was a substantial accomplishment by the Professional Development avenue of the Rotaract club of University of Sri Jayewardenepura. It was initiated to boost IQ, EQ, and SQ levels of the Rotaractors and Non-Rotaractors which would ultimately guide their personality development. CrackerJacks 2.0 was commenced under three phases covering a PR Campaign, an IQ test, and a webinar series.
The PR campaign started off to raise awareness on “What is IQ, EQ, and SQ”. It also gave a proper conscious covering the importance of these three areas.
The next phase was “Quiz Master” the online IQ quiz competition, which was a blazing moment to examine the IQ level while doing time management accurately. Not merely as many of the candidates said that it was a very tough one indeed but also Rtr. IPP Hasitha Prashan was victorious in the competition nearly among 125 of the competitors arriving with the highest accuracy all over the others.
As the final phase, we launched a three-day webinar series starting from the 23rd of October. For the 1st day, the guest speaker was Mr. Lakmal Dharmaratne the Director of Koombiyo teledrama, who explained how creativity will emerge in developing the personality. Furthermore, he explained how he sees the role of personality and how we can uplift it through changing our mindset. At the end of the webinar, we let the audience ask questions and it went very well since many people got a chance to sniff out their doubts.
On the 24th of October, Ms. Nadeepa Rnasinghe conducted the webinar on how self-esteem can be utilized for success and personality development. All we should face challenges with confidence. Thus, she explained the importance of self-esteem using examples from her own life. Eventually, she was delighted about CrackerJacks 2.0 and said they lack such things when they are struggling when they were our ages.
On the 25th of October, Mr. Uwin Ariyaratne who was a graduate from university joined the webinar. He explained how he balanced both academics and extracurricular activities when he was at the university with the importance of time management and planning for our lives.
At the end of the webinar, we let the participants clarify their doubts. Ultimately, that webinar series was the most attended and reached out of the maximum one conducted by our club so far. Even though this was done entirely via the online platform, it was another landmark by RACUSJ that made a huge impact on society.
