Make time for Self-care during Self-quarantine

The world seems debilitating for the moment, but you don’t want to be, right? Convince yourself to have some positivity to maintain your physical and mental well-being during this COVID-19 pandemic. Get aware of all the facts to show this teeny tiny virus that you can get through anything.

Care about your physical health as that’s what keeps you energetic.

You may probably be worrying and caring about getting the virus already, following all the precautions but your routines are messed up, aren’t they? It’s the most essential time to maintain a healthy diet. Eat a plate full of nutrients for each meal that gives you energy and immunity to fight the virus. Include plenty of colorful vegetables, leafy greens, grains, fish, meat, nuts, and seeds. Eat a lot of fruits. Grow your own veggies indoors. (and count it as workout time!)

We all have some time at hand these days don’t we? Work and studies could be hectic but there’s always time for food. So why not have some fun with the scratch you find at home and come up with state-of-the-art dishes? Experiment with your family, try out new recipes, and share the good vibes with friends and family.

Work from home is mostly keeping us hidden in our rooms so it’s very important to keep few water bottles for your company. Stay hydrated with adequate water.

We all are trapped in our homes but what about some exercise in the garden? Exercise improves your lungs and helps to have good blood circulation. Worried about your figure? Well, it’s a good chance to work out. Turn your garden or your room into a little gymnasium. Follow some online routines. Get into a proper workout routine and continue the good habits to the COVID-less days.

While working and learning from home, free yourself from the electronic devices taking regular breaks to avoid eye strain. Check your sitting posture and get some fresh air every now and then. Do not forget to get plenty of sleep and rest.

Look after your mental health as that’s your spirit.

Negative vibes are all over the surrounding. You might be feeling stressed, irritable, confused, anxious, scared, and simply overwhelmed. And I hear that you get mood swings from time to time. All these emotions are absolutely normal and inevitable. Let’s just not let them permanently ruin our aura.

Fresh start your day early with a good glass of water and a little positive thought. Take a moment to write down 3 things you are grateful for in your life every morning. Be mindful of every little task you do to live in the moment. Sometimes it’s okay to simply spend a leisure day. Compliment yourself with little achievements. Get back to your hobbies to unwind.

Listen to your favourite music. Watch your favourite movies over again. Sing a little, dance around a little, and cook something delicious. Take some time off to practice self-love. We all are stuck inside our homes because we love our lives, right?

Lockdown is making us feel lonely. Connect with your friends over the phone, through calls and video calls. Online gatherings are social gatherings too. In a depressing situation, talk to a close friend, journal your thoughts or turn your feelings into beautiful artwork. Limit checking news just like you limit the exposure to the public while only getting important updates to avoid constant distress.

Practice self-love and kindness. Make this time a chance to strengthen family bonds by spending beautiful family moments and eating happy meals together. Cut off social media before bedtime and replace it with meditation. End your day peacefully with a good night’s sleep.

Let’s get through this hard time together spreading out our prayers and good vibes to heal the world.
