The Monthly Gathering of the Rotaract Club of the University of Sri Jayewardenepura for October 2025 was held on the 30th of October from 5.30 PM to 7.30 PM at the C2 Hall, Department of Chemistry, bringing together Rotaractors for an evening filled with excitement, laughter, and the enchanting spirit of Halloween.

Organized by the International Service Avenue, under the creative coordination of Rtr. Nethmi Tharushika and Rtr. Gaveshna Pelenage, the gathering carried the thrilling theme of “Spookinight 2025.” The hall was transformed into a Halloween wonderland, adorned with pumpkins, bats, spiders, lamps, and ghostly decorations, perfectly capturing the eerie essence of the night. To enhance the festive spirit, special Halloween treats were provided, adding to the excitement and spooky charm of the evening.

The event began as Rtr. Sergeant-at-Arms called the house to order, followed by the National Anthem, Flag Salutation, Rotaract Invocation, Four-Way Test, and the Rotaract Anthem. The formalities set the stage for a night that beautifully blended the club’s traditions with the joy of celebration.

Club President Rtr. Nethmi Bandara then addressed the gathering, sharing updates and expressing appreciation for the collective efforts of the members. Following this, Club Secretary Rtr. Manushi Rathnayaka presented the report of the previous month’s gathering, highlighting the accomplishments and progress achieved by each avenue.

The session continued with avenue updates, where representatives from each avenue presented their October reports, showcasing the club’s impactful work and vibrant involvement across diverse fields.

The much-awaited member recognitions followed, as President Rtr. Nethmi Bandara proudly announced the Rotaractor of the Month, Director of the Month, PR Member of the Month, and Editor of the Month, celebrating the dedication, creativity, and commitment of RACUSJ’s outstanding members.

After the formal proceedings, the evening transitioned into a series of Halloween-themed fun games that filled the hall with laughter and energy. Members enthusiastically took part in these activities, embracing the true spirit of fellowship and festivity.

As the gathering drew to a close, members shared smiles, captured memories through photographs, and reflected on an evening that was nothing short of spectacular.

With its perfect blend of formalities, recognition, and pure enjoyment, the October Monthly Gathering of 2025 stood out as an amazing and unforgettable Halloween celebration, one that will be fondly remembered as a night of unity, joy, and the ever-bright spirit of Rotaract.
