The 8th Chartered Day Celebrations of the Rotaract Club of USJP was held on the 1st of September 2018 at the Mount Lavinia beach. The Rotaract Club of USJP was approved by the Club Charter 8 years ago and the event was arranged to be grateful for that. This was organized by the Member Relations Avenue and the main objective was to provide an opportunity to the present members of the club to mingle with the members of the past boards. The event commenced with the engagement of the club members and the past Rotaractors. 

The participants introduced themselves and to everyone’s happiness the event was honoured by the felicitation of many Rotaractors of the previous Board of Directors. Rtr. Faizel Nallawangsa , the project chair and Rtr. Subhaga Bandara from the Organizing Committee of the project welcomed the gathering.

It was indeed an interesting event with the activities giving quite an enjoyable time to all the participants as they had a moment of happiness amidst of their busy schedules. The games included “Limbo”, a renovated version of “The Dog and The Bone” and “Beach Soccer”. It was a very good instance to show that the club recognizes the importance of redefining friendship among the members while building goodwill and spreading love.

By targeting the community who awaits relaxation, this project provided fun and entertainment and strengthened the spirit of the club. The Chartered Day cake was cut by the hands of the past BOD. The program ended in style and the gathering dispersed away with memories made for a lifetime.
