Year 2019 started off with a bang! Surprising all the members of the of Rotaract Club of University of Sri Jayewardenepura, the Club Service avenue organised the Annual Club Trip 2019, with the motive of strengthening the bond between all the club members and to have an unforgettable time on a hike. The trip was on the 5th of January to go on a hike to the Eye-catching Riverstone Mountains.

Trip was organized for all the club members and the members were thrilled to hear the news of the trip and they were excited as well. After Registrations and all the planning for the trip, on 5th of January at 4.00 a.m. the bus left the university premises as planned.

The day started with singing, dancing and sharing a smile and everyone had a very good time and our first destination was the Bambara kiri ella on our way to Riverstone, and it gave the members the chance to experience walking on a swinging bridge enjoying the view of the waterfall. After having the lunch, members started the hike and most of the people got ready for leeches, but sadly leeches were on a holiday. The hike was fun, and members had the opportunity to climb rocks and take selfies and most importantly they had the chance to help each other on the hike.

Otherwise this trip would have been a failure. It took nearly three hours to complete the hike and members had a great time taking selfies, group photos and enjoying the touch of the mist. On our way back to the University premises, members enjoyed a lot mainly dancing and sharing their experiences about the hike and the funny incidents happened during the hike and the opportunity to identify hidden talents of the members for dancing and singing.

At the end of the day, the trip was successfully completed, and all the members had a great time, they bonded very well, which was the main purpose of the trip. This made the trip a success and the feedback received from the members, specially from the new members were great, as they got to know each other very well and they are very keen to participate in future activities as well.

A special appreciation goes to the Club Service Avenue for taking the upper hand and our Executive Board of Directors for assisting them in every way possible to make this trip a reality under many circumstances and all the participants for showing up to make this trip the best trip of the year.
