Its 2a.m

I’m really tired

I have a cough

And I have a fever

The doctors are running all over the place

Looking for medicine

Calling out names

And I just lay on a bed

Thinking;

“OH! today is Monday”

My mother is not here

She was not allowed to come with me

She was left behind with my Nan, my sister and my dog Lee

The men said that ill be okay and they just took me away

I was asleep all the way here

everyone was nice to me

I don’t know why but I can’t really feel myself

My body hurts, and I can’t really move

I could see a lot of people

Everyone is sleeping

And now my father comes running

‘’Champ, hang on I’m coming’’

I can’t see his face

But hear his voice

Saying that I will be okay

‘I know dad’, I say

‘I know I’ll be okay ‘

‘Doctor we need to go’

I hear a lady say

My father looks at me

And then turns away

I don’t like you corona

Today is Monday

Why did you have to come today?

Your so tiny but deadly

Why are you acting this way?

Its Quarantine period

I have heard Nan say

It’s the time to stay at home

And not go out to play

Well today is Monday

And this is all I want to say

Please stay indoors

It’s quarantine period

Don’t go outside

And don’t complain

You’re at least safe

If you just stay at home and not go away

It’s Monday,

‘Please Lord, save me ‘

That is my wish

Because todays my Birthday!
