The Quiz extravaganza, “Quizader” organized by the International Service Avenue of the Rotaract Club of University of Sri Jayewardenepura was successfully concluded on the 8th of January 2020. The project contained an online quiz through which National and International participants were provided with the opportunity to showcase their understandin regarding cultures, thereby win a valuable E-Certificate in recognition. The competitors were given the opportunity to compete on an online platform where they had to answer a quiz (containing 30 questions) based on diverse cultures within 15 seconds of time allocated for each question.

This initiative was undertaken by the International Service Avenue with the motive of understanding the beauty of cultures across the world, despite language and cultural diversities. As the initial step, Rotaractors who were willing to participate in the quiz were approached and registered.

Then each participant was given a unique identification code to enter the quiz portal through which they were given their different set of questions. The quiz was open to competitors on 8th January from 12.00 am till 11.59 pm after taking into consideration the time differences between countries. Meanwhile all the registered participants were constantly reminded and encouraged by the Organizing Committee to complete the quiz.

This project was completed with the participation of 3 National Rotaract clubs and 18 International Rotaract clubs. Rtr. Yarid Reyes from Rotaract Caracas secured the 1st place while both Rtr. Fatima Sultygova from RAC Saint-Peteresberg and Rtr. Gopal Krishna Kandoi representing RAC Birgunj Metropolis were able to secure the 2nd place of the competition. Additionally, each participant was awarded with a valuable E-certificate in appreciation of their enthusiasm and impressive knowledge about the cultures around the globe.

The project “Quizader” hence concluded on a successful note whilst providing a meaningful end to the tagline, “ONE WORLD, DIVERSE CULTURES”.
