Youth Entrepreneurship Summit (YES) organized by Rotaract Club of University of Sri Jayawardhenapura, in collaboration with Rotaract Club of Battaramulla is aimed to create a platform for both the existing entrepreneurs and the youth with new ideas and innovations to kick-start their careers.

Second phase of YES’19, ‘Business Insider’ was held successfully on 27th of January at Business Hubs Nugegoda, for the selected 13 participants from the phase one.

Business Insider was an interactive workshop which was held in two stages. First, the participants were given the knowledge on branding, Digital Marketing, Human Resource Management and Finance Management for their business ideas by the following startup entrepreneurs; Mr.Dinuka Solangaarachchi, Managing Director-NowYouSeeMe Digital Media (Pvt)Ltd, Mr.Lahiru Pathmalal, CEO and Co-founder of Takas (Pvt)Ltd, Mr.Micheal Moonasinghe, CEO-Glover Daniels International and Mr.Aloka Gunasekara, Program Manager-StartupX Foundary.

After the sessions, participants were given a case study covering the above-mentioned areas by dividing the competitors into five groups. Answers for the case study were collected and certificates were given to the competitors. Case studies will be evaluated by the guest speakers and 6 competitors will be selected for the final phase based on both case study performance and the report contents.

Business Insider, the second phase of YES concluded successfully by giving an opportunity for competitors to interact with other entrepreneurs and by providing necessary guidelines to ensure the sustainability of their business idea. A special thank goes to the organizing committee for their huge effort and the executive board for assisting organizing committee to make this event a success.
