The Monthly Gathering of the Rotaract Club of the University of Sri Jayewardenepura for the month of November was held on the 28^th of November 2024 from 5:00 PM onwards at the C2 Hall in the Faculty of Applied Sciences of the University of Sri Jayewardenepura. Organized under the captivating theme of “Moana,” the gathering showcased the vibrant spirit and unity of the Rotaractors. The event was coordinated by the Environmental Services Avenue of RACUSJ, with Rtr. Janani Gunasinghe was the enthusiastic moderator.

The evening began with the National Anthem, Flag Salutation, Rotaract Invocation, Rotaract Four-Way Test & the renowned Rotaract Anthem. Following the opening, Club President Rtr. Akila Weerasuriya addressed the attendees, sharing updates on the club’s recent achievements, ongoing projects & plans. This was complemented by an address from the Club Secretary, Rtr. Nithara Dias who provided detailed updates from all Committees & Avenues, reflecting the collective efforts & milestones of RACUSJ.

The avenue updates were up next, starting with Club Service Avenue & progressing through the rest, concluding with the Sports & Recreational Activities Avenue. Each avenue showcased its unique initiatives & contributions, emphasizing the diverse impact of the club activities.

The highlight of the evening was the recognition of outstanding members. Rtr. Nethmi Bandara from the Professional Development Avenue was awarded “Rotaractor of the Month” for the month of November, celebrating her exceptional dedication & achievements.

Additionally, the “Directors of the Month” awards were presented by Club President Rtr. Akila Weerasuriya to Rtr. Udari Perera and Rtr. Vindula Vidarshana, Directors of the Professional Development Avenue in acknowledgment of their hard work & unwavering commitment.

Adding a touch of fun & camaraderie, Rtr. Nimesh Fernando, Rtr. Kavindu Tilakarathne and Rtr. Randitha Thilakarathne led a spirited game of sea theme, engaging all members in a lively & entertaining activity. A group photo captured the essence of the evening, showcasing the unity & enthusiasm of the RACUSJ family.

With the perfect blend of formalities, recognition & fellowship, the Monthly Gathering of November 2024 came to a memorable close, leaving attendees inspired & motivated for the months ahead.
