Mind Maze ’25, organized by the Rotaract Club of the University of Sri Jayewardenepura in proud collaboration with Colombo International Campus (CIC)  the event’s title partner, took place on the 19th of October 2025, creating an atmosphere of thrill, intellect, and fellowship at the CIC premises.

The event brought together enthusiastic school teams from across the Colombo region for a one-of-a-kind team-based treasure hunt, where participants combined strategy, teamwork, and creativity to navigate through a maze of challenges. From the very beginning, Mind Maze ’25 stood out as a celebration of youth energy and collaborative learning.

Mind Maze’25 have made a successful impact in the RI year 2025/26.

A Dynamic Start to an Unforgettable Day

The morning began with the National Anthem and Rotaract Anthem, followed by an inspiring welcome address by the Chairperson, setting an enthusiastic tone for the day ahead.

From the very start, the energy in the room was elevated thanks to the exceptional compering by Rtr. Renish Perera, the Sergeant-at-Arms of the Rotaract Club of the University of Sri Jayewardenepura, whose vibrant compering brought unmatched energy, humor, and warmth, keeping participants fully engaged from start to finish.

The momentum continued with an empowering motivational session by Mandapa Pandithage, whose charismatic delivery and insightful storytelling encouraged delegates to step beyond comfort zones and embrace teamwork, creativity, and resilience. His session transformed the atmosphere, instilling confidence and determination that resonated throughout the day.

An engaging partner session and interactive activities built momentum leading up to the highly anticipated treasure hunt briefing, where teams eagerly prepared to test their skills.

The Hunt Begins

After a lively lunch break, the energy of the delegates reached new heights as they dived into two hours of exciting and interactive games spread across all four floors of the premises. Each level offered a unique experience, from fast-paced team challenges to creative, laughter-filled activities, keeping the participants constantly engaged and entertained.

The atmosphere across the floors of the CIC premises was electric, with cheers echoing through the halls as teams collaborated, competed, and collected points to earn their next big advantage, the clues that would determine their head start in the upcoming treasure hunt.

At exactly 3:00 PM, the long-awaited Mind Maze treasure hunt officially began. Fueled by adrenaline and guided by the clues they had earned, teams raced through the campus, decoding hints, strategizing together, and demonstrating remarkable teamwork. The excitement was electric as the atmosphere buzzed with excitement, laughter, and bonding as teams raced to uncover the ultimate “Mind Maze” mystery.

Inspirational Moments and Entertainment Highlights

Following the hunt, the audience enjoyed a series of entertaining and insightful sessions featuring Jo Perera, Ravi Royster, and Sandeep Lamasuriya, whose charisma and creativity kept the crowd energized. Their performances added flair and fun to the event, blending motivation with entertainment in true Rotaract style.

The event concluded on a high note with an awards ceremony, recognizing the outstanding efforts of the top-performing teams. A heartfelt thank-you speech by Rtr. Manushi Rathnayake, the Secretary, acknowledged the unwavering support of all the partners, the hard work of all the organizing committee members, the joint directors of the finance committee and professional development avenue, the president, the sergeant-at-arms, and any other Rotaractors who made the event a resounding success. The day wrapped up with a DJ session, leaving participants dancing, celebrating, and cherishing memories of a day filled with joy and achievement.

Mind Maze ’25 was more than just a treasure hunt, it was a powerful platform for learning, leadership, and connection. With the unwavering support of Colombo International Campus and all 14 of our partners and the dedication of the organizing committee, the event truly embodied the Rotaract spirit of empowering youth through fellowship and innovation.

The success of Mind Maze ’25 stands as a proud testament to what can be achieved when creativity, teamwork, and purpose come together, igniting a spark that will continue to inspire and empower young minds across Sri Lanka.

Unfolding the Magic Behind Mind Maze ’25

Behind the success of Mind Maze ’25 was a team whose passion, dedication, and unity brought every idea to life. Guided by the Joint Directors of the Professional Development Avenue, Rtr. Isum Weerasinghe and Rtr. Yohara Perera, together with the Joint Directors of the Finance Committee, Rtr. Duvindu Sokman and Rtr. Neha Anosh, the event’s seamless execution reflected exceptional leadership, teamwork, and vision.

Under the direction of Chairperson Rtr. Sachin Jayasinghe, supported by Secretary Rtr. Sasvi Hapuarachchi and Treasurer Rtr. Himanshi Rathnayake, the Organizing Committee worked tirelessly to ensure that every detail was handled with precision and care. From logistics to communication, their collective effort transformed months of preparation into a day of unforgettable experiences.

The contributions of the Events and logistics, PR & Editorial, Finance, and Delegates Teams were equally remarkable, each playing an integral part in coordinating participants, managing resources, and capturing the spirit of the event. Their synergy and enthusiasm embodied the true Rotaract spirit of service through fellowship.

A heartfelt appreciation also goes to Colombo International Campus (CIC), whose partnership extended far beyond being the Title Partner. Together, the joint directors, organizing committee, Rotaractors, and CIC demonstrated what can be achieved when creativity meets teamwork, making Mind Maze ’25 not just an event, but a celebration of youth leadership, collaboration, and purpose.
